South Hill Bats is a custom bat manufacturing company located in northwestern PA, dedicated to providing baseball players, of all ages, with affordable high quality baseball bats. SHB is a turnkey operation- all phases of bat construction, from billet to bat turning. We don't provide billets to larger companies, so our customers enjoy the same quality of wood the pros use. Family owned and operated.

How it starts..

The hard wood is cut and split to size needed to start turning it into along cylinder shape called a billet..

step 2..

After drying, the billet is put on a lathe and turned to create a rough shape.

step 3

Here, the bat is finally shaped to the precise dimensions for each model's specification.

step 4..

Bat is sanded, and the SHB logo is burned in and engraved (if desired). Then it is stained to specs and then coated with high quality urethane.

Bats are hung to cure to full hardness and ready to be used!
